Aberdeenshire-based JRC Detailing was born out of a passion for quality and care. Growing from a simple home-based hobby into an obsession, JRC quickly built up an impressive portfolio of work after recognising a lack of specialised services dedicated to providing vehicles with the love and care they deserve. Applying innovative techniques, a vast knowledge, and the experience to match, JRC were quick to grow and identify the exciting potential for future opportunities. They just needed the tools to reach them.
A great opportunity to support another local business that has the same ethos and commitment to care as Minto, we jumped at the chance to help JRC reach its potential with a new brand and a website that can provide the platform for JRC to keep growing. Collaborating closely with founder Jason throughout the process, we knew we needed to provide him with the same level of service and care that he produces for every project he takes on.
Approached by the Inverurie-based start-up, we were originally tasked by Jason to commission a new website to help highlight some of the recent work completed and facilitate a new eCommerce section offering car care products. Sensing an even bigger opportunity to commit to more than just a website and seeing the full potential in Jason’s vision, we took it to be a great opening to revise the brand in general.
Keeping the existing colour scheme, we instead updated the brand with a whole new bespoke logo designed to meet the needs of the expanding business. Making the new identity bolder and more compact, it allowed the logo to stand out better, especially in confined spaces, and give it a racy motorsport look that fits the type of fine work carried out by Jason and his team.
Supporting graphics were developed along with some stylised imagery to showcase the quality of services on offer. All this was then applied to the new site being developed.
With the only existing JRC website being a single landing page, it meant that our web design team had an entirely blank canvas to work on, creating, designing, and developing the brand-new JRC site from the ground up. Taking great inspiration from car and motorsport culture, the new site was designed with a racy, edgier aesthetic that puts the projects carried out by JRC at the forefront of the design, using high-quality imagery to show off the quality of their work.
Approachable and part of the community, Benson depends on their quality of care. The website needed to reflect that. As the entry stage for many of the services on offer, the website needed to be accessible and easy to navigate, providing a welcoming experience for users to learn about the Benson team and what they can help you.
Before launch, the website was populated with new content, created, and uploaded via the CMS. Adding layers to the brand and the website, the featured news articles and stories provided extra activity, giving the user more reasons to explore and discover further insight into the team.
